Smithson Tower project is shortlisted for the FX Awards
Our project in Smithson Tower has been shortlisted for yet another award! This time it’s the FX 2022 Awards in the ‘Workspace Environment Small’ category.
Organised by FX Magazine, the FX Awards are an annual celebration of the best of British and international design spanning both product and project design categories. Our project, for a confidential investment client, is one of fourteen outstanding projects that have been shortlisted for this year’s awards.
Our nominated project was designed by ConForm Architects with whom we worked to deliver this high-quality scheme. Situated on the 11th floor of the Grade II listed Smithson Tower the project was not without its challenges, including being delivered in the midst of the C-19 pandemic, but extensive planning and collaboration meant this project has been shortlisted for many of the most prestigious design awards around. The project also won the AJRetrofit Award in the Workplace Fit-out category for 2022.
The octagonal floor plans around the building’s central core meant the design had to be very carefully considered to accommodate open-plan work areas, private office space and meeting rooms. The space is open and has a home-away-from-home feel with 360 views across the city.
We’re looking forward to the awards dinner in November, when the winners will be revealed.
